Dental Extractions, Nepean Dentist

Preserving Your Oral Health

Even with routine oral care, there may be times when you experience more serious dental concerns.

At our Nepean dental office, we aim to resolve these issues while saving your natural teeth. Unfortunately, this may not be possible in all situations.

We only recommend extractions if the issue at hand puts you at risk of serious oral health concerns, such as in cases of severe tooth damage or wisdom tooth issues.

Our team will assess your oral health and discuss available treatment options with you before making any recommendations.

If tooth extraction is deemed necessary, we will strive to make the procedure as painless as possible and provide you with aftercare instructions to promote quick healing.

Dental concerns that require tooth extractions may lead to a number of serious complications and severe discomfort. Our dentists are here to help treat your dental issues and by extension, eliminate the associated pain and preserve your oral health.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt in the back corners of a normal adult mouth, usually between 17 and 25 years of age. Unfortunately, this last set of molars has the potential for problems.

This third set of teeth is not always functional, and it has the potential to crowd out other teeth as they grow. They may also interfere with your oral hygiene. In order to help protect your oral health, your dentist may recommend that these be removed.

Tooth Extractions

A dental extraction is the simple or surgical removal of a tooth to help protect your oral health. There are a number of reasons that a dentist may recommend tooth extractions such as to repair cavities, treat infections and reverse gum disease.

Once your tooth has been removed, your dentist will go over tooth replacement options with you. This may include dental bridges, dental crowns, and dentures as well as the use of a dental implant.
